Exhibitor Manager DOCS & HELP

Interface & Drawing

The editor is laid out like a drawing program: tools on the left, canvas in the middle, properties on the right. Each floor has a tab – just like later on the website.

The ☰ menu contains project settings, backups, “Import existing SVG plan”, “Use plan of another event”, “Renumber booths”, “Insert colour legend”, the exports, the unit, full screen and the keyboard shortcuts.

Layers: seven fixed layers – Underlay, Rooms & areas, Walls, doors & stairs, Drawing (original), Booths, Texts, Symbols & images –, each can be shown/hidden and locked. Hidden or locked layers can’t be selected. All layers except the underlay appear in the published plan.

Floors and underlay

“Floor settings” (double-click on the tab) contains the floor’s name, width and height (1 to 5000 m), plus Duplicate, Move and Delete – the last floor can’t be deleted.

The underlay sits in the properties area while nothing is selected: “Choose underlay” loads a floor plan as template, with visibility and opacity. It doesn’t appear in the published plan.

FileBehaviour
PNG, JPGdirectly as image
PDFthe preview image WordPress creates for a PDF – this needs Imagick on the server; without it, the editor asks for PNG or JPG
SVGas underlay, additionally usable for “Room from shape”

Calibrate scale: after loading, the editor asks whether to calibrate the scale. You trace a distance of known length on the underlay (“this wall is 24 m”) and enter the real length. Elements already drawn can grow along.

Unit: metric (m) or imperial (ft), switchable in the ☰ menu. Data is always stored in metres; the unit is just the display.

An architect’s floor plan as underlay (40 % opacity); on the right the underlay fields with “Calibrate scale”.
