Exhibitor Manager DOCS & HELP

Plugin Settings Reference

Seven tabs under Exhibitors → Settings, plus the help as a menu item of its own. Once set up, you rarely touch them again.

The seven tabs

Opening the page without administrator rights lands you on the generator. The help is under Exhibitors → Help (always at the bottom): a short documentation with quick start, all parameters, hall plan and special areas, plus an API guide with real values from your website. Old bookmarks to the former help tab are redirected.

Design & Display

The “Design & Display” tab: placeholder image, colors with live preview, grid and detail view below.
SettingDefaultEffect
Default placeholder image–Appears when an exhibitor has neither a logo of their own nor an image via their type.
Primary color#f76b15Buttons, links, active elements, accents.
Secondary color#eef4faSubtle backgrounds.
Background (toolbar)#fff8f0Search and filter bar above the directory.
Border color#dcebf7Lines and frames.
Grid layout modeFull widthFull width uses all the space; fixed width shows at most four tiles per row.
Exhibitor detail viewSeparate pageOr pop-up – see Detail view.
Categories in mobile viewallLimit to one or two lines or hide entirely.
Floating search baroffSearch bar at the bottom of the screen on phones and tablets.
Save once, even without changes

Only then are real color values in the database. Before that, directory and hall plan may show slightly different shades. By the way, a type’s color is set on the type itself.

Functions & Defaults

The “Functions & Defaults” tab: URL path, window, start view, pagination and the four additional filters.
SettingDefaultEffect
URL slugexhibitorPath of the exhibitor pages, e.g. exhibitors. Save Settings → Permalinks once afterwards.
Open details insame windowOr new window. Only applies to the own page, not the pop-up.
Standard viewGridOr table.
Pagination typePage numbers“Load more” or everything at once. With page numbers, guests choose how many they see.
Items per page12How many exhibitors appear at once.
Products, country, sales, events filteroffWhether guests may filter by them. You can always maintain the fields. The events filter only appears with the calendar plugin.
“Global Hall Plan Page” doesn’t save

The field is displayed but empty again after saving. “View on map” therefore always opens the plan as a window above the current page – the more convenient way in practice.

Labels & Texts

The “Labels & Texts” tab: each field shows, greyed out, the text that applies without your input.
GroupExamples
Data & ColumnsLocation, booth, type, category, exhibitor, details, view on map, products, country, sales at booth, headings of the featured row, the list and the events
Filter & SearchSearch placeholders, “Reset filter”, “All Types” …, values of the sales and events filters, “selected”, close tooltips
Favorites & SharingFavorites / Show all, share window, copy link, messages without favorites, spam notice
System MessagesLoading…, no results, “Load more”, the pagination’s “Entries” / “Show all” choice

“Booth” becomes “Booth number”, “Exhibitor” becomes “Artist”. If you clear a field, the bundled text in your website’s language applies again.

Two search placeholders, one works

There is “Search Placeholder” and “Dropdown Search Placeholder”. Only the second takes effect – it controls the large search field and the search lines in the filters. Enter your text there.

Security & Maintenance

SettingDefaultEffect
Favorites spam protection1 secondMinimum interval per connection (0 to 10). Only limits how often the statistics rise – saving itself always works instantly. Who clicks is not stored, only how often.
Delete data on uninstalloffDeleting the plugin removes exhibitors, events, lists, settings and API keys. Deactivating keeps everything.
Back up first

If ticked, the data is irrevocably gone after deleting. Create a CSV export and a settings backup under Import / Export first.
