Nobody has to memorize shortcode parameters: the shortcode generator under Events → Settings → Shortcode Generator builds every snippet with drop-downs and checkboxes and shows it ready to copy.
Four steps to your snippet
- 1Choose the type
Main calendar, single event card (compact card), timetable, live ticker or speaker directory. The add-on adds room monitor and monitor hub.
- 2Narrow down the content
Choose the main event (empty = all sessions), optionally venue, category, start date or – for the single card – the session from the list.
- 3Set the display
Initial view, items per page, pagination, “Slim mode” (no search and filter bar), hidden icons and much more – only the fields that fit the type appear.
- 4Copy and paste
The code updates with every change. “Copy” puts it on the clipboard; “Reset” starts over.
The “Shortcode Generator” tab, the “About” tab and the help are available to every role that may edit sessions – not only administrators.
Using it in page builders and the block editor
- Block editor (Gutenberg): Click +, choose the Shortcode block (or type
/shortcode) and paste the code. - Elementor: Drag the Shortcode widget into the column and paste the code.
- WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder, Betheme: Use the builder’s text or shortcode module. The plugin loads its styles and scripts when the snippet is rendered, even if the builder stores the code in fields of its own.
An overview with example pages is in the Quick setup article; all parameters are in the articles on the individual views.
