The dashboard is the health check for your program: what is missing, what is popular, what is on today? It finds the gaps your guests would otherwise find.
A session without a start time appears in no time-based view – and you only notice when someone asks why the talk is missing from the timetable. The dashboard lists such cases before the event starts. You find it under Events → Dashboard – the first menu item since version 2.0; a click on “Events” itself also leads here.
Structure
- 1Header and event filter
Next to the heading, top right, is the “Event” drop-down. It limits all evaluations to one main event – without old data from previous years – and also applies to the CSV exports of the rankings.
- 2Welcome banner
Shows the number of sessions you manage and offers three buttons: Master Editor, Import / Export, Settings. Its color is a gradient of your primary and secondary color; a very light secondary color is darkened so the white text stays readable.
- 3Data quality & missing information
The first card sums up how many items need attention – or reports “All key data is available.” Next to it, one card per check with count and “Check now”. Check cards only appear if they found something.
- 4Inventory cards and placements
Today’s, past and cancelled events, the total – and four rankings below.
All checks
| Card | Color | What happens if you don’t fix it |
|---|---|---|
| Events without date | red | Appears in no time-based view. |
| Events without start time | red | No place in timetable, ticker and monitors. |
| Standalone events | red | Neither a main event nor assigned – missing from filtered views. |
| Events without end time | yellow | Live views assume one hour; the timetable card only gets the minimum height. |
| Events without image | yellow | Placeholder instead of an image in the grid. |
| External image sources | yellow | The image is only linked and breaks as soon as the external source goes offline. Re-run the import to store it locally. |
| Events without event ID | yellow | CSV updates can only match by title. |
| Events without category | yellow | No badge, harder to filter. |
| Events without venue | yellow | Missing from the timetable and the room monitors. |
| Missing short description | yellow | Card and list look empty. |
| Missing description | yellow | The detail view has no content. |
No date, no start time, or the session belongs to no main event. Affected sessions are effectively invisible to your guests.
Closing gaps
- 1Click “Check now”
On the card concerned. A window opens with all affected entries, each with event ID and title.
- 2Click a title
You land directly in the edit screen. To work through several, open them in new tabs.
- 3Complete and return
Enter the missing detail, update, reload the dashboard – the number on the card has dropped.
If very many sessions are affected, the Master Editor is faster: change the same fields for hundreds of sessions at once.
Inventory cards
| Card | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Today’s events | Everything happening today – your morning view on the event day. |
| Past events | Sessions that are already over, e.g. to see what can be archived. |
| Cancelled events | All sessions with the cancellation switch set, at a glance. |
| Total events | All published sessions. |
“Show list” opens the entries for review.
Placements and statistics exports
Four rankings: Main events (parents) with their number of sessions, Top 10 favorites (measured by your guests’ heart clicks), Top 10 venues and Top 10 categories. The spreadsheet icon at the top right of each card downloads the complete list as CSV – not just the ten shown. Ideal for wrap-ups and reports to sponsors and partners.
How favorites are counted
The heart turns red for the guest immediately; at the same time the browser anonymously reports a count to the session. If that fails, it is sent later. You only see totals, never people – details under Favorites & QR code. The All Events list also has a sortable “Favorites” column.
