How your guests use the plan – on phones, tablets and with a mouse.
Controls
| Device | Usage |
|---|---|
| Smartphone, tablet | Pan with one finger, zoom with two. The info sheet slides in from the bottom and can be swiped away by its handle. |
| Desktop | Mouse wheel to zoom, drag with the mouse button held; + and − buttons plus a button that resets the view. |
| Tabs | Switch between halls. From five plans on, a drop-down menu appears instead of tabs. |
A click on a booth
- All of the exhibitor’s areas are highlighted – with
A12, A13both. - The area moves to the center without resetting the zoom.
- The info sheet shows logo, name, type, categories, location, booth numbers and short text; “Details” opens the detail view, plus heart and share.
Ways into the plan
| Way | Result |
|---|---|
A page of its own with [event_hall_plan] | The plan as a block, preselected to a hall with hall or a booth with booth. |
| “View on map” in the directory or detail view | The plan opens as a window above the page – already on the right tab with the booth highlighted. |
| Hall plan in the calendar plugin | Sessions can show their room’s plan if the room names match. |
Which tab opens? “View on map” picks the plan whose location matches the exhibitor. If none matches – for an exhibitor without a location, for instance – the first floor in tab order on which one of their booth numbers lies opens.
No search in the plan
There is no search field of its own above the plan. Anyone looking for a specific exhibitor finds them in the directory and jumps from there to the booth with “View on map”.
If “Hide all location & booth information globally” is set at the event, the plan only shows the drawing – the areas are then not clickable.
