With the Hall Plan Designer add-on (Event Exhibitor Map Designer) you draw your hall plans right in the WordPress admin: floors, rooms, walls, doors, stairs, booths – whole rows at once –, labels and symbols. You drag exhibitors onto their booth with the mouse. The result is a plan the exhibitor plugin displays exactly like an uploaded SVG file.
A tool for the finished map: what is on the site and who stands where. It is not a sales platform for booth space – there are no prices, no booking and no availability status.
What the add-on brings
| Area | Content |
|---|---|
| Drawing | floors in metres or feet, grid and snapping, rooms and areas (rectangle, free shape, “Room from shape”), walls and lines, building elements (door, double door, passage, emergency exit, stairs, arrows), text, 35 symbols, images |
| Booths | single or as booth rows with a numbering scheme, renumbering, free shape |
| Appearance | colours per element, colour themes with legend, corner radius, line width, dashed borders, eleven patterns, font, nine label positions |
| Basis | floor plan as underlay (image or preview image of a PDF), scale calibration, taking over existing SVG plans, another event’s plan as template |
| Exhibitors | assignment by drag & drop, maintaining locations too, “Display only” mode for maintenance via CSV |
| Control | check report in the status bar, work views “Occupancy” and “By exhibitor type” |
| Safety | backups of the last ten versions, lock while someone else is editing |
| Export | floor as PNG, print / save as PDF, booth list as CSV |

Installation
- 1Upload
Upload the folder
event-exhibitor-map-designernext toevent-exhibitor-managerintowp-content/plugins/– or the ZIP package under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. - 2Activate
Activate it under Plugins.
- 3Find it
The Exhibitor Manager menu gets the item Hall Plan Designer; every event’s edit screen shows the Hall Plan Designer box in the sidebar.
If Event Exhibitor Manager is missing or older than 1.4.0, the add-on loads nothing – no menu, no functions – and shows administrators a red notice. Plans already drawn stay visible on the website, because the exhibitor plugin displays them.
Getting started
Via the menu: Exhibitor Manager → Hall Plan Designer shows a table of all events you may edit – newest first, with the number of floors and booths, the last save and the button “Open designer” or “Draw hall plan”.
From the event: the Hall Plan Designer box in the sidebar leads into the editor with the same button. Like the “Hall plans” box it disappears as soon as a parent event is chosen in the “Event” field – then the entry is an exhibitor.
The first start
If the event has no plan yet, the editor opens with a 60 × 40 m floor and the dialog “Welcome to the hall plan designer”:
- 1Set up the hall
Set the size of the hall and load a floor plan as underlay.
- 2Draw
Draw rooms and walls, then create booths – whole rows at once with the “Booth rows” tool.
- 3Assign
Drag exhibitors onto the booths and save.
Below are three ways in: “Import existing SVG”, “Start with an empty hall” and – if another event already has a plan – “Use plan of another event”.
Under Exhibitor Manager → Help the add-on adds its own “Hall Plan Designer” card: quick start, drawing, assigning exhibitors, taking over existing plans, saving.
