Interactive Hall Plan [event_hall_plan]

The [event_hall_plan] shortcode brings your hall drawing to the website as an interactive plan: guests zoom in, pan, tap a booth and see at once who is there.

The hall plan with tabs for the halls. The clicked booth H02 is highlighted; on the right the info sheet with logo, type, category, location, booth, short text, “Details”, heart and share.

How your guests use the plan

ElementFunction
Tabs at the topOne tab per hall plan, in the order you set at the event. From five plans on, they become a drop-down menu.
Booth areasEvery area with an exhibitor behind it reacts to a click and is highlighted. Areas without an exhibitor stay background.
Info sheetLogo, name, type, categories, location (hall and room as one entry, e.g. “Hall 01Workshop”), booth numbers, short text, “Details”, heart and share. On phones it slides in from the bottom.
ZoomMouse wheel, two fingers or the + and − buttons in the image; a third button resets the view. Pan with the mouse or one finger.

The plan stays sharp at any zoom level because it is embedded in the page as a vector graphic. Whatever is in the file, your guests see – including hidden guide lines.

Parameters

ParameterDefaultEffect
parent_idrequiredID of the event carrying the plans.
hall–Opens the matching tab directly: a match in the tab name or its rooms, e.g. hall="Workshop".
booth–Highlights a booth on load, centers it and opens its sheet, e.g. booth="H02".
height600Height of the plan. A plain number means pixels; 80vh and similar work too.
Examples
[event_hall_plan parent_id="12"]
[event_hall_plan parent_id="12" hall="Hall 01" height="800"]
[event_hall_plan parent_id="12" booth="H02"]

[event_map], [eem_map] and [event_exhibitor_map] work the same. The Shortcode Generator doesn’t know booth and hall – add them by hand.

No link with booth number

An address suffix such as ?booth=H02 has no effect; the booth can only be preselected via the shortcode parameter. For “show me this booth” from the list, there is the map icon on the exhibitor.

Where the plan comes from

You upload the plans at the event, not at the location – step by step under Linking booths to exhibitors. If the event has no plan, the page shows “No hall plans available for this event.” If “Hide all location & booth information globally” is set at the event, it applies here too.
