Under Exhibitors → Locations (heading “Locations (Halls/Rooms)”) you manage halls, rooms and outdoor areas. They are the link between exhibitor and hall plan.
Creating a location
- 1Name
e.g. “Hall 01” – spelled exactly as on site.
- 2Room within a hall
Choose the hall under “Parent”. This creates “Hall 01 → Workshop”; both can be assigned to an exhibitor.
- 3Save
The new entry appears in the list on the right.
Locations have no plans and no colors
You upload hall plans at the event, not here – see Linking booths. Maintaining the plan there creates the hall and rooms automatically on saving. You need this page mainly for renaming and tidying up.
What saving a hall plan creates
| Chosen in the plan box | Result in the location list |
|---|---|
| A parent location | The rooms entered are created below this location. |
| None, but a tab name | The tab name itself becomes the hall, the rooms hang below it. |
| Neither location nor tab name | The rooms are created side by side on the top level. |
Three things to remember
Existing terms are never moved. Merely opening and saving an event creates the tab name as a location. And renaming a plan later creates a second term on saving – renaming belongs on this page.
Is your structure complete?
- Every hall and room exists; rooms hang below the right hall.
- No entry has a count of 0 – otherwise delete or assign it.
- In the dashboard, “Unassigned Hall” has become noticeably smaller.
