Your guests save sessions with a click on the heart – no account, no sign-up. The favorites list can be moved to a phone or passed on via QR code. As the organizer, you only see anonymous totals.
How it works for your guests
- 1Click the heart
On every card, in the list, in the timetable and in the detail view. The heart turns red immediately – no waiting, no round trip to the server.
- 2View the favorites
“My Favorites” shows only the saved sessions – in the calendar, the timetable and the live ticker.
- 3Share or move to a phone
The icon next to “My Favorites” opens a window with a QR code and a link. Scan the code with a phone and the selection is available there too.
How favorites are counted
- 1Instantly in the browser
The favorites list lives only in the guest’s browser. No account, no personal data.
- 2Anonymous counter
At the same time the browser anonymously reports “+1” to the session – without any information about the person.
- 3Sent later if needed
If the report fails (no network, firewall, rate limit), it is stored locally and sent automatically later. The guest never notices.
- 4Evaluation in the admin
The dashboard shows the top 10 most popular sessions, and All Events has a sortable “Favorites” column – the fastest way to find out which session needs a bigger room.
Two things you should know
| Topic | Explanation |
|---|---|
| The list belongs to the guest | If the browser data is cleared or the device changes, the list is empty. The QR code is meant for moving to a phone. You never see individual people. |
| Spam protection only affects the statistics | To stop anyone from skewing the numbers by mass clicking, a minimum interval per IP address applies between two counted reports (default 1 second, adjustable under Settings → Security & Maintenance, 0 turns it off). Saving itself always works instantly – the guest notices nothing and sees no warning. |
Because no personal data is stored, the favorites feature is uncritical under the GDPR: there is nothing to log and nothing to consent to.
Favorites as calendar files
Individual sessions can be added to Outlook, Apple or Google Calendar via “Save Date” – with a reminder if you have set an iCal alarm (minutes before start) under Settings → Design & Options. More under iCal calendar export.
